News for 2025…

After much consideration, I have made the difficult decision to retire my British Shorthair breeding program.

It has been an absolute privilege and joy to work with this incredible breed over the past 25 years. British Shorthairs have brought so much happiness and love into my life, and they will always have a special place in my heart. I also want to express my deepest gratitude to all of you—families who have welcomed my kittens into your homes. Your continued support and love for them have meant the world to me.

Please feel free to continue sending updates and pictures of your kittens; I always love to see how they’re doing. And as always, don’t hesitate to reach out if you have any questions or if there’s anything else I can assist you with.

Thank you once again for being a part of this journey. I will cherish the memories and the wonderful connections we’ve made over the years.

Warmly, Suzanne Henne DVM

TIDBIT: Antiallergen cat food topper. Pacagen’s Cat Food Topper neutralizes 98% of cat allergens using alpaca-inspired nanobodies that suppress a person’s allergic reaction to the Fel d 1 allergen. The food topper comes in a chicken-flavored seasoning powder that can be sprinkled onto wet, dry or raw cat food 2 times a day. The powder contains more than 90%protein with dried chicken bone broth, dried fermentation biomass, fructooligosaccharide, yeast culture and natural flavor. I thought this was worth the mention!

Your Cats

Hi Suzie,
I saw that you are closing your breeding program and while I’m happy that you will have a lot freer time to do what you enjoy, I was selfishly sad! We love all three cats so much; you feel like part of the family. We will miss your kitten updates on Instagram (my husband and kids follow you) and your website. We wish you all the best and want to say THANK YOU for your breeding program and the opportunity to own one of your kittens. Cat update with a couple of photos:

Boo: You will see in photos; she just got her summer teddy bear cut. She’s just as precious as ever. She has grown into a beautiful young lady. There is not a cabinet or door she cannot open and while it sounds like trouble, it is not. She is simply looking for a quiet place to rest. She is extremely smart, calm and lovable. Compared to Jinks she’s a bit more standoffish, but everyone is standoffish compared to him. She is gorgeous and sweet. She’s my daughter’s shadow. She knows her name and comes when called.

Jinks: First comment we get is how pretty he is, and he is a handsome boy. He loves to be handled, picked up, danced with, etc. He actively seeks attention and enjoys grooming his sister and being very nosy. He has found a happy place in front of a huge window that offers sunshine and a good view of a busy street that gives him plenty of people watching. He enjoys picking up small things and hiding them only to pull them out later.

Gandalf is the cat sitting in the pan. He is in Salt Lake with my son and his girlfriend, and he continues to rule the roost. They have boxes on the counters that cannot be moved as they belong to Gandalf. Apparently, the pan now belongs to Gandalf. He likes the desk chair, so my son works on the couch, so he doesn’t disturb Gandalf. It’s really Gandalf’s apartment. He just lets them live there and pay the rent. He enjoys playing fetch and no matter what is going on, he’s watching as though he’s supervising – and he probably is.

We truly wish you all the best. Thank you for your years of service to both breeds, for the wonderful cats, and your commitment to a world-class breeding program. We hope you are well and if you find yourself in Arizona, feel free to come by and visit the cats (and us) in person. We are grateful that your cats (and you) are a part of our family.
All the best and thank you
Phyllis D
